Thermal Transfer Laser Coding Machine

A thermal-transfer laser marking machine is a galvanometer‑type laser marker that uses CO2 gas as its working medium. CO2 and other auxiliary gases are introduced into the discharge tube, and a high voltage is applied across the electrodes, initiating glow discharge within the tube. This generates a laser beam at a specific wavelength, which is used for marking. CO2 lasers belong to the category of “thermal processing” and produce a laser beam with a high energy density—essentially a concentrated energy flow. When this beam irradiates the surface of the material being processed, the surface absorbs the laser energy, triggering thermal excitation in the irradiated area. As a result, the temperature of the material’s surface (or coating) rises, leading to phenomena such as phase transformation, melting, ablation, and evaporation.
